Day1: Kigali – Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, at 09:30AM meet with our guide and take undulating scenic drive through Kigali city and beautiful landscapes that offers amazing stopovers on the way as you transfer to Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival at 1:00 PM check in with the Five Volcanoes Boutique Lodge for lunch. Dinner and overnight at Five Volcanoes Boutique Lodge. Meal plan: F/B
Day2: Rwanda Gorilla Trekking –Twin Lakes (Burera & Ruhondo)
After early breakfast, we shall head for a briefing about gorilla trekking in Rwanda at the Kinigi Station, then head straight to the slopes of the Forest. Gorilla trekking is no-longer quite strenuous, we send an advance team so you can move direct to the spot where the advance team has located the Gorillas. Maximum permitted time with the Gorillas is 01-hour, return to the lodge for lunch. Visit the Rwanda twin Lakes (Burera & Ruhondo) found at northwestern Rwanda on the outskirts of Musanze. Enjoy the undulating panoramic view and take magical photographs and return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Five Volcanoes Boutique Lodge. Meal plan: F/B
Day3: Dian Fossey Hike & Visit Dian Fossey Museum
Early breakfast and after take the Dian Fossey Hike to the Digit and Center to experience the conservation work that this great primatologist advocated towards the conservation of the mountain gorillas in the Virunga mountains. Lunch and if interested visit the Dian Fossey Museum in Musanze and experience the summary of Dian Fossey’s work in the Virunga Massifs at Five Volcanoes Boutique Lodge. Meal plan: F/B
Day4: Golden Monkey Tracking – Transfer Lake Kivu Serena Hotel Beach Holiday
Have the morning breakfast and after drive again to Volcanoes National Park offices for briefing about golden monkey tracking in the mist and this experience takes 3 – 4 hours. After have lunch and after take scenic drive through Rwanda scenic landscapes tea plantation green cover to Gisenyi town and upon arrival check in at Lake Kivu Serena Hotel, evening if the water level normal take swimming along the shores of Lake Kivu and then dinner and overnight stay. Day5: Lake Kivu Holiday
Have breakfast, and spend the whole day at Lake Kivu Serena Hotel relaxing and refreshing the body from Volcanoes hikes and enjoying the cool breeze at the shores of the Lake Kivu. With your guide you can take short walk around the beaches around the Lake. Today, our guide will help you find local shop and buy the fishing gears that you will use on your fishing experience along Lake Ihema at Akagera National Park. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Kivu Serena Hotel. Meal plan: F/B
Day6: Lake Kivu – Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
Have breakfast and after embark the safari jeep and transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park with the en-route view the tea plantations and then to the park where you will experience the Chimpanzee trekking and Canopy Walk in the park the next day and stay at Nyungwe Hill Top Hotel. Meal plan: F/B
Day7: Chimpanzee Trekking Experience & Canopy Walk Adventure
After breakfast, and then go for the Chimpanzee trekking into the rain tropical forest and then back to the lodge for lunch, take the canopy walk viewing more primates, birds, insects and canopies at the closer view in the jungle. Dinner and overnight at Nyungwe Hill Top View Hotel. Meal plan: F/B
Day8: Nyungwe Forest – Transfer Akagera National Park
Have breakfast and take 08 hours’ drive through Kigali. Lunch and after transfer to Akagera National Park where you will experience game drives looking for African wildlife species, birds and boat cruise along the Lake Ihema. Dinner and overnight stay at Ruzizi Tented Lodge. Meal plan: F/B
Day9: Game Drive & Sun Set Boat Cruise – Night Game Drive Experience
Have breakfast, after take dawn game drive looking for African wildlife and birds in Akagera National Park near the border with Tanzania. There are beautiful undulating sceneries you will be exposed in the park, return to Ruzizi Tented Lodge and have a rest. After Lunch in the Afternoon, you will go for one of Africa’s most wonderful sun set boat cruise for photographic game viewing in Akagera national park looking for various wildlife species like crocodiles, hippos, elephants, Kobs, warthogs, water and bush bucks, giraffes, buffaloes among others along the shores of the Lake Ihema. While on this cruise also expect to spot a rich bird life of about 525 bird species. Today, we shall experience a night game drive looking for the nocturnal animals that you missed on the day games among them include lions, leopards among others. Return for diner and overnight at Ruzizi Tented Lodge. Meal plan: F/B
Day10: Full Day Game Drive in Akagera National Park
After early cup of coffee proceed to a dawn game drive to catch up with early raisers and predators returning to their hideouts. The game drive will reward you with chances to see a variety elephant, buffaloes, lions, Maasai giraffe, gazelles, impala, baboons, oribi, Butchel’s zebra, topi, bush baby, leopard and bush buck among others. Later in the evening return to the lodge and refresh and relax as we wait for your dinner and overnight stay at the Ruzizi Tented Lodge. Meal plan: F/B
Day11: Lake Ihema Fishing Experience & Extra Night Game Drive in Akagera National Park
Have breakfast and after embark the safari jeep and transfer to the shores of Lake Ihema and meet the fishing team and board the boat and enjoy the fishing experience along Lake Ihema. Note: You are advised to bring with your own fishing gears like modern hooks with lure to fix on a hook in order to attract the fish and this bait attracts fish when it comes to swallow the bait, its caught, this experience can take the whole day from the shores of Lake Ihema. Return to the lodge, refresh and relax as you we wait for your dinner and after go the night game drive looking for the more nocturnal animals that you missed on the day games among them include lions, leopards among other and then return to lodge for overnight stay at the Ruzizi Tented Lodge. Day12: Akagera National Park – Kigali
Today, have breakfast and after embark the safari jeep and drive back to Kigali and upon arrival at Hotel Milles Collines Kigali, have lunch and relax at the hotel as you wait for dinner and overnight stay at Hotel des Milles Collines Kigali. Meal plan: H/B – Lunch

Have breakfast and after with our guide today we shall show you more of Rwanda land marks, cultural places and some of the local markets in Kigali. What to wear/bring
Dress codes are informal. Daytime temperatures are generally warm, so bring lots of light clothing, supplemented by light sweaters for the cool evenings and heavier clothing for the higher altitudes especially volcanoes. When tracking gorillas layering your clothing is the best idea and we suggest: long sleeved shirts, cotton or gore tex trousers, strong walking shoes with ankle support, socks that you can tuck your trousers into, light gloves to protect your hands from thorns and nettles, a hat and sunglasses to provide protection against the sun and a waterproof jacket in neutral colors may come in handy in the moist mountains.
Travel light and remember that soft-sided luggage is required. One medium sized duffel bag and one small day pack (carry-on) per person should be adequate. Laundry services are available at most accommodations. You should also pack some zip lock bags for spare clothing, cameras, binoculars and film. Please note that you are not allowed to use a flash when photographing Gorillas. It is a good idea to take along several different speeds of film (64 to 1000) as gorillas can be found in open sun or in the dark underbrush of the forest.
